This position will be located at Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive Jefferson City, MO 65101

  • Draft (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) MS4 and Land Disturbance permits per the prescribed schedule & process. Implementing federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, pertaining to urban stormwater runoff, the municipal stormwater programs, and construction site stormwater runoff. Manage adjustments, including rulemaking and rule revision.
  • Develop and facilitate outreach for regulated MS4s, public officials, agencies, organizations, the general public, and other interested stakeholders over the permit conditions, Best Management Practices (BMPs), and state and federal regulations.
  • Provide oversight and technical expertise for regulated entity’s, federal agencies, other state agencies, the general public and department team member’s over MS4 and Land Disturbance regulations and permits.
  • Conduct audits on permitted MS4s and the Missouri Department of Transportation Seperate Storm Sewer System permit, ensuring department regional MS4 annual audit goals are achieved.
  • Review Stormwater Management Plans, Assumptions and Requirement Attainment Plans, and other documents for approval and comments as required by regulations.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.) Preferred degree program would include the following: Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Hydrology/Water Management, Physical Science, Natural Resource Management, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field.
