HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This is a supervisor position established to oversee the mailing related needs of the Department. This position will provide mailing advice throughout the Department, and supervise the Mail Service Center team to ensure they are meeting required mailing dates and timely extraction of remittance documents.

- Oversee the Mail Service Center (MSC) and direct workflow on a daily basis to meet the needs of the Department and its customers.
- Provide guidance and training to Mail Service Center team members
- Assist the Mail Service Center manager with mail piece design of envelopes, letters, postcards and certified notices
- Assist the Mail Service Center manager with bid specifications for the replacement or addition of equipment
- Schedule preventative maintenance and request repairs directly with service providers
- Order operational and equipment supplies
- Perform other related work as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: - Three to five years of relevant work experience
- Intermediate knowledge of the US Postal Services rules, regulations, mailing standards, postage rates and types of mailings
- Intermediate knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and production applications related to large scale incoming and outgoing mail operations
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department officials, team members and the general public
