Job Description

Licensed Master Social Worker/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a full-time clinician for our Residential Treatment Program.

Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital uses the Sanctuary Model to guide our interactions with our teammates and the care we provide to our consumers. The foundations of the Sanctuary Model promote healing, safety, and nonviolence, providing responsive and trauma informed care.

The clinician is a member of the Social Service Department who provides individual, group, and family therapy as well as case management for children and adolescents age 13 to 18 who are admitted to Hawthorn for the treatment of mental disorders and trauma. This team member will play an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team who will provide direct clinical services to our consumers as they work to reach their treatment goals.

The qualified candidate will have either a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university. This successful candidate will possess Missouri licensure (LMSW or LCSW), or will commit to working toward licensure during their employment. Opportunities for Professional Licensure Supervision is available. Knowledge and expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and other trauma-focused approaches preferred.

This position reports to the Residential Program Treatment Coordinator and Chief of Clinical Services. The schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with the option for some flexibility in your schedule.
