Job Description

This full-time position is located at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center, 10695 Bellefontaine Rd., Saint Louis, MO 63137. Regular work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m., with Saturday/Sunday/Holidays off. This position will be responsible for male and female consumers. The work schedule also includes one late night a week, a third shift every 6 weeks, one weekend shift (1/2 day) approximately every 8 weeks, and adjustment of schedule based on the needs of the consumers and staff this position supports. Schedule flexibility is necessary, including early morning, late night, and weekend coverage.

This position consists of professional program planning, management, and supervisory work of substantial scope and complexity for a treatment unit in an inpatient mental health facility for persons with developmental disabilities. This position will also be accountable for implementing and monitoring habilitation programs and positive behavior supports for crisis consumers. You will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in developing and reviewing individualized habilitation plans. You will supervise and monitor the work of direct support professionals.

Per CMS Guidelines §483.430 to meet Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), you will need three years of experience providing services to a person with intellectual disabilities, one of which must be in a supervisory role, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Recreation, or Human Services (sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology).
