Salary Range: $7,268-$10,902/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, organizes and directs the overall operation of the airport parking and commercial ground transportation systems.
  • Responsible for managing the day to day operations, administration and technical work with managing the airports parking system, the parking management contract, employee busing contract and administering the commercial ground transportation policies.
  • Efficiently and economically operates and maintains airport parking to include overseeing the Parking Services Division's budget, financial administration and management. Including processing permits, enforcing rules, maintaining pubic parking operations, including valet parking, providing customer service, establishing staffing and enforcing contract provisions, rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for overseeing snow removal operations in the parking facilities.
  • Reports safety concerns, maintenance issues or violations to the responsible division.
  • Analyzes data on changing travel patterns as they affect parking and commercial curb operations.
  • Makes projections relative to future demands for equipment, facilities and personnel.
  • Makes recommendations on parking rate structures and implements changes.
  • Makes recommendations regarding new construction and contract repairs of parking and transportation systems and writes specifications for purchase of new and additional equipment.
  • Responsible for the accurate and secure collection of parking and commercial ground transportation revenues.
  • Prepares contracts and scope of service for contractual work.
  • Participates in negotiations with parking lot concessionaire regarding revenue control and parking operations.
  • Monitors activities of contractors to ensure contract compliance.
  • Oversees the activity and reporting requirements of all off-airport parking operators.



Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 5 years managing a division, section or program within airport operations, airport regulatory compliance, or oversight of building and/or construction operations at an airport; OR high school diploma and 9 years experience in managing a division section or program within airport operations, airport regulatory compliance, or oversight of building and/or construction operations at an airport. Must successfully complete a TSA criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screen.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
