Job Description

This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a senior starting salary of $61,249.44.

What you’ll do:

  • Creates financial documents for federally funded projects utilizing Microsoft Excel and state and federal financial management systems (FACS, FMIS, SAMII, etc.).
  • Coordinates with federal agencies (Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Rail Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) to administer federal funds per federal requirements.
  • Coordinates with MoDOT Divisions and Districts to deliver federally funded projects.
  • Prepares, reviews, processes, and maintains documents, forms, and reports for federally funded projects/grants.
  • Performs various accounting functions, including reconciliations; monitoring accounts and account balances; depositing daily receipts; processing invoices and initiating vendor payments, etc.

  • Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field


Special Working Conditions:

  • Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
  • Remote work location from any MoDOT facility or hybrid telework option may be considered. Full-time telework is not available.
