This position is responsible for providing MOCIS analyst support for the Missouri Department of Corrections. The work will include daily interaction with ITSD, the MOCIS project vendor and a variety of staff members within the department. Team members will be expected to:
- Serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) on DOC processes and system usage.
- Work with ITSD and the vendor on analysis, design, testing and implementation tasks related to MOCIS.
- Assist in coordinating additional DOC resources in support of MOCIS when needed.
- Provide evaluation input on proposed enhancements to MOCIS.
- Develop new and augment existing MOCIS training programs/job aids, etc.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate ITSD or vendor staff for resolution.
- Troubleshoot and assist in the diagnosis of MOCIS computer concerns.
- Participate in analyzing, testing, and implementing MOCIS computer software systems.
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience working in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Special Requirements: In-depth understanding of MOCIS.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: - Knowledge of DOC structure and mission.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in the use of MOCIS and OPII.
- Skill in the use of computer software and hardware utilized by the Department of Corrections.
- Skill in communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors and management by phone, email or in person.
- Ability to prioritize routine requests and handle urgent needs in a timely and effective manner.
- Individual should have basic troubleshooting abilities for both computer hardware and software.
- Ability to exercise authority in an appropriate and productive manner.
- Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports.
- Ability to communicate information concisely, clearly, and accurately.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor and/or management.
All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed. Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.
