Job Summary

Performs responsible specialized work reviewing citations from City ordinances governing vehicle parking. Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, this position performs responsible work duties such as: customer interaction with a high level of customer service, processing payments for various citations, permits, and monthly accounts. Other duties to include performing calculations, collecting fees, examining financial documents, and preparing financial summary reports. Employees assigned to this class perform tasks, which are recurring and nonrecurring, which involve complicated and varied procedures or work methods, and permit reasonable initiative and independent judgment. Work requires knowledge of data entry, business practices, methods, and work procedures. Specific routines must be learned on the job through daily association. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate with college coursework in Accounting or Bookkeeping desired and six (6) months of experience in bookkeeping or clerical accounting required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. This position requires the ability to type twenty-five (25) words per minute, utilize word processing and/or spreadsheet software, and operate an electronic cash register . A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
