Job Announcement

The City of Chandler Community Services Department Parks Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Parks Maintenance Worker (part time, temporary, non benefited) . This position serves at the discretion of the department director. The position is scheduled to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5:00 am - 11:00 am.

Who we are
The Park Operations Division plays a critical role in the City of Chandler's quality of life initiatives by providing over 1,500 acres of safe, clean and well-maintained parks that offer exceptional recreational experiences.

Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration with experience in grounds maintenance and specific experience in maintaining athletic fields.

Minimum qualifications
• Completion of eighth grade, no experience required;
• A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency;
• 1 year ground maintenance experience;
• Previous ball field maintenance experience
• Arizona State Office of Pest Management, Ornamental and Turf Applicator Certification
