This is professional supervisory social service work directing the activities of staff responsible for providing protective services on behalf of seniors and/or disabled adults.

  • Supervise and direct the activities of staff responsible for the identification, investigation, and intervention of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to staff in the development and implementation of protective services
  • Coordinate and evaluate the activities of lower level staff while providing training and guidance.
  • Conduct periodic team meetings and individuals conferences to apprise staff of new and revised policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to management.
  • Exercise significant independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience as an Adult Protective & Community Worker, Children’s Service Worker, and/or Long-Term Care Specialist with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System, OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a closely related field, AND
  • Three or more years of professional experience in criminal, civil or administrative investigations and/or the delivery or coordination of social, protective, medical, mental health, or rehabilitative services for senior or disabled adults, children, or families in a public or private agency, OR
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a closely related field and one or more years of professional experience.
