We are recruiting to fill a Court Services Supervisor I position in the Pretrial Services Unit to assist in the development of alternative workflow methods to address the goals and objectives identified under statewide initiatives and perform very responsible professional work in the supervision of professional Court Services staff engaged in analysis, development, maintenance, and review of court business.

  • Supervisory activities are defined as: establishes expectations, checks work product, provides training, conducts performance evaluations, coaches and guides staff, and participates in the hiring and termination of staff.
  • Provides professional advice to subordinates in the resolution of difficult court services problems and answers inquiries from other departmental personnel concerning procedures and policies.
  • Assists the Court Services unit in the development of alternative workflow methods to address the goals and objectives identified under statewide initiatives.
  • Designs, monitors, and reports on quality assurance approaches and methods for the justice system and pretrial services and fosters implementation of recommendations for quality improvement of the treatment provided to individuals in the Missouri court system.
  • Performs various court evaluation projects covering specific areas of pretrial services.
  • Facilitates collaboration, communication and timely responses between criminal justice entities.


Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management and 3 years of professional experience in a related field.

Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of modern court management.
  • Ability to work with and provide professional staff support to judicial committees.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and projects effectively.
  • Ability to travel to the courts to provide onsite technical and administrative assistance to court personnel.
