Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

The Department of Corrections is the only State agency that currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of service up to 20 years.

What you’ll do:

Hiring, training, supervision and direct support of assigned staff working regionally in the state.

Coaching and assisting with the clinical development of assigned staff in line with professional best practices.

Setting an example for staff by building a positive work culture through intentional leadership and creating a cohesive team environment.

Demonstrating cultural competency and trauma informed care practices to support diverse staff populations.

Complying with federal and state laws related to mandated reporting and protected health information

Serve as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address staff members' personal and/or occupational stressors.

Offering professional guidance and support regarding case management best practices.

Developing and implementing programs focused on case management and resource support.

Developing and implementing programs and initiatives designed to support staff and foster engagement.

Participating in the formation of department-wide education.

Providing administrative oversight for the state-wide programming.

Setting and tracking goals that focus on the Department Mission and Vision

All you need for success:

Experience with psychosocial rehabilitation and group facilitation

Prior experience in a forensic, corrections, law enforcement or equivalent setting.

Prior management experience

Applicants should have a high degree of cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse groups.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends. Occasional in-state travel may also be required.

Candidates must be free of alcohol and chemical dependency.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Required for Interview: Master's degree and licensure in social work, professional counseling, psychology or a related field.

Five years of professional experience in clinical services, case management, behavioral health, or resource coordination is preferred (cannot be substituted for the degree requirement).
