This full time position will be located at 2351 Kanell Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO. 63901. The schedule can be discussed during the interview process.

  • Supervises Behavior staff providing direct support to residential ICF and crisis consumers at facility.
  • Holds Engage meetings, approves time off requests.
  • Observes behavior technicians and direct support staff in homes and provides coaching, feedback and modeling in appropriate implementation of the behavior support plan and behavior intervention strategies.
  • Assist in new employee orientation.
  • Serves as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within one year of hire date in this role.
  • Provides recommendations to management staff on training needs of direct support and behavior technician staff.
  • Assists Behavior Analysts with functional behavior assessments (FBAs) or functional analyses (FAs) to determine the functions of an individual’s challenging behaviors and the likely antecedents that precede them.
  • Collaborates with individuals from multiple disciplines (direct care, habilitation, nursing, psychiatry, etc.)
  • Trains staff to implement strategies outlined in BSPs, Safety Crisis Plans, and other behavioral documents, or in systems such as Safety-Care (if designated as a trainer).
  • Utilizes a behavioral skills training approach with staff, including presenting verbal and written information, demonstrating and modeling skills, role-playing scenarios, observing staff demonstrating skills, and providing feedback to staff on their performance
  • Assists Behavior Analysts in creating reinforcement or incentive systems for use with individuals that require additional supports, trains staff in their usage, and ensures that individuals have access to earned reinforcers.
  • Conducts regular behavioral observations of individuals at SEMORS and fidelity checks on staff.
  • Attends and participates in crisis calls, best practice (psychiatry) meetings, quarterly behavioral meetings at various sites, transition meetings, and other meetings as requested.
  • Assist interdisciplinary team to draft behavioral restrictions and ensures that they are presented to the due process committee and provides on-going monitoring so that restrictions can be lifted when expectations are met.
  • Assists in interventions as appropriate.
  • Assists in scheduling and other supervisory duties for Behavioral Technicians in the habilitation center.


  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to successfully pass and maintain Level One Medication Aide certification within one (1) month of assignment, or longer if training by facility is not made available during that time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and as necessary, drive during the day or night, in rural highway or metro conditions to transport individuals to a variety of locations for appointments, employment, leisure or vacations.
  • Possess adequate vision to read written material.
  • Possess adequate hearing
  • Ability to physically intervene to maintain safety.
  • Possess physical stamina required to provide physical assistance to clients and to respond in emergency situations which may require the ability to walk, run, sit, stand and kneel, to stand or walk for an extended period of time, lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs, ability to work both indoor and outdoor in variable weather conditions.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrive to work on time, returns from lunch on time and minimizes unscheduled absences.
  • Possess knowledge of and the ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office programs, including email, Word and Excel.
