Job Description

Job Location: This position will be located at Missouri Arts Council, downtown St Louis office, some remote days weekly.

  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to support accessibility in the arts, arts in aging, and arts that serve veterans, service members and their families in Missouri communities.
  • Coordinate advisory panelists and meetings in review of grant applications.
  • Provide technical assistance to grant applicants.
  • Planning and facilitation of public meetings, convenings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Prepare advisory panel comments and funding recommendations for review.
  • Write project guidelines and applications.
  • Distribute grant correspondence, documentation, and reporting.
  • Develop and support convenings that advance accessibility in the arts, arts in aging, and arts that serve veterans, service members, and their families.
  • Manage the budget for accessibility, aging, and veteran’s programs.
  • Prepare reports for discussion or action at Council meetings.
  • Make site visits to funded or prospective activities as needed.
  • Encourage collaboration among individuals and organizations concerned with arts and health.
  • Partner with stakeholders including the accessibility organizations, aging groups and agencies, veteran’s groups and agencies, among others.
  • Collaborations on agency-wide activities such as board meetings, surveys, and strategic planning.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in health, veterans, aging, or accessibility programs or related experience
  • Technical competence in using a personal computer and basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must hold driver's license and be able to travel in and out of state.

  • Knowledgeable of current trends, best practices, and research in arts education, arts learning, arts learning assessment, and program evaluation.
  • Actively pursue outreach and partnerships to expand services to underserved populations.
  • Able to develop and maintain a network of professionals and organizations in the field of community arts learning.
  • Skilled in organizing work and managing time with ability to complete tasks requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
