St. Charles Habilitation Center currently has an opening for a Support Care Professional. This position will mainly work Monday - Friday, with Sunday, Saturday, and Holidays off. The regular hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. however, schedule flexibility is necessary.

Job Duties:

This is mid-level professional position accountable for developing, implementing and monitoring habilitation programs and positive behavior supports for consumers with developmental disabilities residing at St. Charles Habilitation Center. As part of this interdisciplinary treatment team, you will assist in developing learning objectives and support strategies, observe behavior, provide training and implement, monitor and develop individualized habilitation plans. You will supervise and monitor the work of direct care staff. The successful candidate must be able to physically perform all Safety Care requirements, participate in consumer consultations and conduct rounds.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the position of Support Care Professional, you must possess the following:

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 credit hours in a human services specialty or 4 or more years of relevant experience.

This position will be filled with the most qualified candidate after consideration of each applicant’s interview, work experience, work performance, training and other background information. DMH employees who have had disciplinary actions within the past 12 months will not be considered.
