Job Description

Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109

As part of the Senior Leadership team for the Division of Community and Public Health, you will lead and work with a variety of programs and excellent staff all devoted to the vision of "optimal health and safety, for all Missourians, in all communities, for life." The days are never the same with new challenges and new opportunities always present. The opportunity to lead is not only from within, but to engage with outside stakeholders and partners to collaborate, educate, innovate and respond.

  • Serve as member of Division Leadership Team. Direct responsibility for the Bureau of HIV, STD & Hepatitis, Office Of Minority Health, and the Opioid Response Program.
  • Direct responsibility for 2 Offices and 2 Bureaus with multiple and diverse programs within each. Focus on Healthy Outcomes and Health Equity, including identification of supportive date and implementation of evidence-based/evidence-informed practice
  • Identify statewide partners for successful implementation and maintenance of programmatic work and cultivate good working relations with many and diverse partners.
  • Pursue, facilitate, and encourage collaboration with external partners, with other Divisions within the Department and other state agencies, and between programs within the Division.
  • Participate in community engagement activities, when necessary.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills, written and verbal communication skills, and teambuilding skills.
  • Demonstratable expertise in leading collaboration between groups.
  • Demonstratable expertise in executive decision making.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy & Management, Healthcare Administration, or other closely related field.
  • Substitutions may be considered for education
