POSITION SUMMARY:This is work leading to the acquisition of journeyman skills in the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground power lines. Increasing levels of knowledge and experience are to be demonstrated by test results and working knowledge to obtain II-year, III-year and IV-year Apprentice classifications.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONSNecessary:- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have or be able to acquire a CDL license with air brakes and tanker endorsement within (6) six months of employment.
- Must live within 50 miles from the intersection of Grand Avenue and 8 th Street. Total travel time cannot exceed 60 minutes at posted driving speeds.
Desired:- Course work in the principles of electricity and/or Line school experience is very desirable.

May instruct or give direction to apprentice lineman. This work involves responsibility for the performance of skilled tasks in accordance with industry practices and standards.
