The focus of this position will be to work closely with OA-FMDC leadership to provide administrative support for general human resources (HR) and employee relations concerns, team member recognition programs, operational excellence, training opportunities, and more. The right candidate will be able to successfully organize and execute cyclic programs and events, research team member and leadership training opportunities, and support OA-FMDC leadership with their hiring, position reclassification, and team member relations programmatic needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new team members.
  • Assist with a variety of HR duties, such as submitting agency HR tickets, reviewing position description questionnaires, enforcing state and OA policies, and providing benefits information.
  • Ensure compliance with required training programs and Leadership Development Rule hours.
  • Research and organize a variety of training opportunities for OA-FMDC team members.
  • Serve as a liaison for a variety of administrative support functions or services; planning, assigning, directing, and coordinating OA-FMDC activities and events.
  • Assist with facilitating division-wide initiatives across multiple regions including those related to Operational Excellence, Missouri State Employees Charitable Campaign, career fair and recruitment initiatives, and team member recognition programs.
  • Draft communications for internal stakeholders to advertise upcoming changes, training and development events, and team member resources.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by supervisor or FMDC Director.


All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in employee relations, HR, and/or executive support. (Substitutions may apply.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, human relations, business administration or another related field.
  • Creative self-starter who can foster effective relationships and work in a collaborative manner with a variety of division employees and external customers.
  • Well-organized with the initiative to plan for events 6+ months ahead.
  • Resourceful in finding the best use of budget dollars, time, and people to help accomplish goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, from one-on-one to working with large, diverse groups.
  • Skilled with general technology, Microsoft Office, Qualtrics, social media platforms, SharePoint, and Basecamp.
  • Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma, as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs.
