This position will be located at 1730 E Elm Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.

  • Evaluate compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations and permit requirements for facilities within Missouri.
  • Generate technical reports based on evaluations of RCRA-regulated facilities.
  • Interpret RCRA regulations to provide concurrence to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Environmental Science- Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources; and to monitor, control, abate, and prevent pollutants.

  • Writing- Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates in a succinct, brief, clear and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material, that is appropriate for the intended audience.


Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • Preferred degree program would include a combination of the following: Environmental Science or Technology, Physical Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a closely related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
