Job Description

Job Summary
Performs work in support of Bryan Texas Utility’s Distribution and Engineering Departments, performing asset data collection, updating and maintaining the GIS , EA, and OMS databases, and coordinating of pole transfers.
Essential Job Functions
  • Helps maintain the accuracy of engineering analysis and outage management databases.
  • Coordinates the collection and entry of GPS data, field inventory, and equipment configuration and incorporates the data into the GIS .
  • Updates GIS maps to reflect location and configuration of existing infrastructure, including poles, transformers, pad mounted equipment, streetlights, etc.
  • Coordinates the transfer of third-party pole attachments.
  • Performs some field investigation and assessments associated with updating the engineering model
  • Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current college student seeking a technical degree in engineering, geospatial technology, or a related field of study.

Licenses, Certifications & Special Requirements
Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record as measured by the City’s evaluation system.
