Collaborating physician is onsite and supervision is robust. APRN workload is comfortable, averaging 10 patients per day, allowing for ample time to review and discuss cases.

What you’ll do:

This is a licensed professional patient care provider position that functions as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and performs professional medical care of assigned patients.

APRN’s will provide medical care to long term psychiatric hospital patients including sick calls, annual physicals, chronic disease management, reviewing labs, studies, and outside specialist consultations. Our relatively long-term population allows practitioners to know their patients well.

APRN’s work in conjunction with a team of mental health experts, including psychiatrists, physician assistants, and treatment teams to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.

A successful candidate should have the following:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of general medicine, and methods and processes utilized in diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate practices, techniques, and treatment procedures for effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • License/certification as an APRN


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with psychiatric patients/populations
  • Experience beyond professional schooling
