Office of Administration, Division of Accounting (OA-DOA) seeks a qualified professional for the Financial Services Unit.

We are seeking a proactive team player who can apply critical thinking & problem solving in order to assist State Agencies and vendors with questions, inquiries and processes regarding the State Financial System.

What you’ll do:

  • Audit Vendor/ACH-EFT applications for accuracy.
  • Process Bank reports.
  • Reconcile various reports.
  • Initiate, process, and review check cancelation documents.
  • SAMII Agency Help Desk - Provide State Agencies with assistance regarding the state financial system.
  • Review Accounts Receivable Customer Files.
  • Assist with 1099 processing for OA-DOA
  • Provide assistance to State Agencies and vendors with various inquiries, processes and questions regarding MissouriBUYS.
  • Assist with MissouriBUYS supplier file set-up and maintenance.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.


All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of the SAM II Financial System and MissouriBUYS.
  • Knowledge of Banking Standards in regards to Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and Automated Clearing House (ACH).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel is desired, but not required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the unit and with other OA divisions.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions
  • Two or more years of financial experience with a governmental agency or a private sector accounting, finance or brokerage firm; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.


OR

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting. (Business or governmental accounting experience (above entry level) involving the maintenance or recording of financial data may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required college education.)
