Job Announcement

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Aide or Recreation Assistant at the Chandler Tennis Center (part-time, temporary, non-benefited). These positions serve at the discretion of the department director.

Location:
Chandler Tennis Center
2250 S. McQueen Rd.


Recreation Aide. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.
Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday: 5-10 p.m.

Recreation Assistant. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.
Work Schedule:

May-September
Monday-Saturday: 6:15-11am
Saturday-Sunday: 7-10pm
October-April
Monday-Saturday: 7:15-3pm
Saturday-Sunday: 7:15-3pm

Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with general knowledge of tennis with administrative related skills including using registration and reservation software, maintaining a clean environment, assisting customers and facility needs, and maintaining an atmosphere of camaraderie, courtesy, and respect. Our ideal candidate is energetic, a team player, can multitask, and can apply independent judgement.

High School student or graduate;
First Aide/CPR Certification, depending on assignment
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

A High School Diploma, or GED;
First Aide/CPR Certification, depending on assignment
One (1) year experience in a recreation environment
Valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Desired qualifications
• Three (3) years college preparation in Recreation, Physical Education, or related field
