The California Department of Justice’s Bureau of Firearms ensures that the state’s firearms laws are administered fairly, enforced vigorously, and understood uniformly throughout California. We are hiring a Supervising Program Technician II to assist with the Carry Concealed Weapons licensing program.

Under the general supervision of a Staff Services Manager, in the Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Licensing Team, the Supervising Program Technician II (SPT II) supervises technical operations in the CCW program. Duties for this position include: supervising support staff within the CCW Licensing Team; assisting in planning and directing CCW Licensing Team technical operations; and advising the CCW Crime Analyst Supervisor of technical issues related to CCW licensing.
