This position supports the campus-designated ADA Coordinator to ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal access and the opportunity to participate in CSU programs, activities, and services by engaging in timely, good faith, interactive process to determine effective reasonable accommodations. The scope of work is comprehensive in nature and includes interpretation of CSU policies, regulatory compliance, contractual, and procedural guidance and advisement in functional areas such as collective bargaining agreement interpretation, employment status, classification, and labor relations as it relates the CSU Leave & ADA Programs. This position also serves as resource and backup to the benefits health & wellness team, including the Benefits Manager. The Leaves & Accommodations Coordinator is expected to work independently and apply sound judgment in the development of solutions to complex program challenges, interpretation of State & Federal laws and Collective Bargaining Agreements for represented and non-represented employees seeking leaves. Key Qualifications Knowledge of: The principles, practices, and procedures of human resources administration in the areas of benefits, leaves, and/or ADA accommodations. CSU and federal and state laws/regulations related to common leave programs (e.g. PDL, FMLA, CFRA...) Working knowledge, or ability to quickly learn, university methods, procedures, and practices.
