Job Description and DutiesUnder the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) is responsible for intake and processing of applications to ensure Law Enforcement Agencies, including tribal police requesting new service to CLETS meet the technical security requirements. The ITA must independently provides network consultation and policy interpretation to agencies to assist with the development of new systems interfacing with CLETS. In addition, the ITA requests new Originating Agency Identifiers (ORIs) from the FBI for new service agencies.

Working ConditionsThis position is eligible for telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered Remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.
