Job Location: This position will be located at Harry S Truman State Office Building, 301 W. High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65102

You’ll get to work with an Office of Administration (OA) team that is focused on providing excellent customer service, every time! OA CARES about Communication, being Adaptive, Reliability, Expertise, and being Solution-Driven!

Specifically, the Division of Personnel (DOP) is looking for an individual interested in growth to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team! You will work alongside a group of creative, talented professionals as we advance modern recruitment practices for OA and the entire state of Missouri! We work hard and with a sense of urgency - we do the important work of helping attract new talent to public service! You will enjoy a rewarding contribution to the greater good while having some fun along the way. Also, we are starting several brand-new programs - be a part of something awesome and help build from the ground-up.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the MO Careers Help Desk. (MO Careers is our statewide applicant tracking system) Answer basic questions and forward more advanced needs to the vendor. For intermediate requests, the requests will be triaged and assigned to the appropriate OA/DOP/TA team member.
  • Regular quality assurance review of MO Careers job postings and provide details to designated TA team member, working to make sure postings are attractive to job seekers.
  • Maintain the statewide recruitment event calendar and share as needed. This will include both events we host, as well as those from across other state departments. The calendar is also maintained and published on our internet website.
  • Prepare agenda and take notes at team meetings, distributing and following up on items as necessary.
  • Provide support for TA programs to keep plans and projects moving forward.
  • Coordinate with departments and schools for state department attendance and logistics at their hosted events.
  • Register team members for career events; make travel arrangements and submit expense reports to DOP admin team.
  • Maintain budget details and share regularly with the team. Organize purchases for the team as needed.
  • Manage the selfie station (super-cool tool for events!) calendar reservations and graphic design requests. Become a super-user of the technology and set-up.
  • Organize advertising and marketing efforts with platforms such as Careers in Government, LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Manage assigned Wi-Fi hot spots used for off-site career events - track availability, check out to team members, charging, etc.
  • Support additional new and amazing things we create along the way!


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in talent acquisition, human resources or a related field.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and especially written.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional experience with Adobe products is helpful. General ease with online tools and social media platforms.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines - we have a lot going on and work very fast-paced.
