The HIV/STD/Hep C Community Program is seeking a HIV/STD Prevention Coordinator. This role coordinates prevention services (that includes PrEP for Wake County) within the Community Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Sexually Transmitted Disease(STD) Program, and the collection and analysis of prevention data for Region 6 Network of Care and Prevention.

This position is responsible for:
  • Coordination of prevention services, collection and analysis of prevention data for the Network of Care and Prevention in Region 6
  • Co- facilitating with the Care Coordinator of Region Six (6) meetings and coordination of services to prevent duplication of prevention services and efforts in our Region 6
  • This position reports directly to the WCHHS HIV/STD Community Program Manager
  • The position creates reports and provides data feedback for the use of prevention programs reporting as well as for program planning, implementation, evaluation and quality improvement as required by NC State-Communicable Diseases funding
  • Assisting with program evaluation of regional partners receiving prevention funds for counseling and testing
  • Responsible for the activities on prevention of the network as needed by the terms Network Prevention grant component (The network is a partnership of HIV prevention and care providers across an eleven-county region.)
  • Additionally, the position will assume responsibility for PrEP coordination and PrEP navigation and education in the region with an emphasis to these services in Wake County

**This role is Hybrid - with the expectation to be in the office 3 days per week.**

NOTE: If you work in the Health Clinics and Public Health Division, influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law, (i) actively supports and participates in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours. (ii) this position requires a valid NC driver's license and vehicle to perform all job duties.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of job-related experience
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • More than one (1) year of experience in at least one of the following areas: HIV Prevention Data - including data entry, experience including grant writing, evaluation, and monitoring compliance
  • Bachelor's Degree in field related to position
  • Spanish Language skills preferred but not required

Work under the direct supervision of the WCHHS HIV/STD Program Manager to look at the budget and fiscal stability of prevention programs, including Integrated Targeted Testing Services (ITTS) efforts in the region
  • Knowledge and experience in working with community coalitions with a diverse groups of individuals

Hiring Range: 59,063 - 79,739

Market Range: 59,063.00 - 100,415.00
