Job Description

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South Campus (FTC-S), a Missouri Department of Mental Health forensic inpatient facility, has a position for a licensed behavior analyst. The position is currently open with start date negotiable.

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South Campus is a 180-bed inpatient forensic hospital serving individuals committed to the Department of Mental Health. This is a position in the New Outlook Program, which strives to prepare clients to live meaningful lives through skillful delivery of evidence-based and individualized treatment strategies The successful applicant will be part of an interdisciplinary treatment team providing services for forensic clients who have mental illnesses sometimes accompanied by histories of trauma, intellectual challenges, substance use, Borderline Personality Disorder, and suicidal and self-injurious behaviors. Team members are responsible for coordinating and managing the assessment and treatment of psychiatric illnesses for New Outlook Program clients living in the secure and campus cottages. Treatment modalities may include, but are not limited to, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Behavior Modification. Program specific training is provided, including DBT Intensive Certification Training.

The licensed behavior analyst in this position is an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team and the DBT consultation team. Successful candidates are skilled in the creation and implementation of behavioral intervention plans. In addition to individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and the creation of behavioral intervention plans, there will be opportunities to learn the administration and interpretation of a variety of risk assessments. Supervision of practicum students is also encouraged.

Duties include :

  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans
  • Conduct individual therapy and lead treatment groups
  • Complete necessary treatment documentation
  • Opportunities to supervise practicum students
  • Participate in hospital wide committees and other leadership opportunities available within the hospital.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Missouri Licensed Behavior Analyst (MO-LBA)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
