What you’ll do: - Assist in the management and preparation of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s budget, including the department’s appropriation request books, fund financial summaries and all other documents required for the annual legislative budget request
- Work with divisions and districts within the department to develop budgets prior to the start of each fiscal year and prepare the fiscal year-end analysis of MoDOT’s budget and actual expenditures for the department’s executive leadership team
- Analyze appropriation balances and legislative appropriation authority to ensure funds are available throughout the fiscal year as well as research and respond to questions regarding the department’s budget
- Prepare budget documents for Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission
- Provide ongoing analysis of the department’s revenue and expenditures and assist in preparing the department’s annual financial forecast
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
- Remote work location from any MoDOT facility or hybrid telework option may be considered after successful completion of probationary period. Full-time telework is not available.
