What you’ll do: This position will be responsible for Foster and Adoptive Parent Recruitment through the Missouri Adoption Heart Gallery, Faith Based Efforts, and coordination of activities with the Adoption Resource Centers. This position monitors accompanying foster/adoptive parent contracts as well as the Adoption Information Registry and the Division Indian Child Welfare Act programming. This position will be responsible for various aspects of program development, consultation, technical assistance and support to field staff in the areas of adoption and guardianship programs, policies and subsidy.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - A High School Diploma or High School Equivalent and Eight or more years of professional experience or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.
OR - Two or more years of experience as a Senior Social Services Specialist (CSSP).
OR - A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Substitutions allowed); and ,
Four or more years of professional or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.
(A combination of earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the preferred fields such as social work, family and child development, special education, psychology, sociology, or related behavioral sciences and experience described may substitute for the stated qualifications. 30 credit hours are equivalent to 1 year of experience. Professional experience as described must be of a substantial period of time (over 50% of time)).
(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the stated college education.)

- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the State of Missouri as needed
- Knowledge of adoption and guardianship subsidy and policy
