Job Location: This position can be remote with regular travel required to Jefferson City, MO.

The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.

  • Supervise staff in the Family Eligibility Team.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to family eligibility applications and determinations, compliance practices, production tracking, and other items related to child care assistance.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of the day-to-day operations of the family eligibility team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Develop reports for various subsidy operations including but not limited to: program participation, processing timeframes, and compliance.
  • Analyze data and provide program improvement recommendations to office leadership.
  • Provide training for the Child Care Subsidy section on requirements for families to receive child care assistance.
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement activities related to the child care subsidy program.
  • Serve as backup for the Program Manager of the Child Care Subsidy section, when needed.
  • Assist the CCDF Administrator with research related to the Child Care Subsidy program.
  • Assist with the maintenance of policies and procedures related to the Child Care Subsidy section.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, education, family/social/human services, or other related area; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.


OR

  • Five or more years of professional or technical experience in administration, education, human services, or a related field, or other experience that contributes directly to the understanding of activities of this assignment; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
