Full-time position available with the Health Department, HIV Case Management Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $24.77-$37.16/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees training activities for the HIV case management system in the Kansas City Transitional Grant Area (TGA).
  • Develops tools for training case management users of the statewide database system SCOUT, including training materials and an evaluation tool.
  • Co-facilitates, participates in, prepares, and develops content for monthly combined case management & housing meetings.
  • Responds to inquiries about the Ryan White/case management program and completes intake with clients needing access to services.
  • Participates in statewide work groups aimed at improving Missouri's HIV case management system.
  • Works in collaboration with MDHSS Quality Manager & Case Management System Administrator to conduct oversight of Ryan White contracts and perform audits in the SCOUT database.
  • Prepares reports on quality reviews for KCHD HIV Services staff and case management supervisors to identify improvement needs.
  • Maintains region's case management listserv and regularly communicates program updates and educational opportunities to HIV Case Managers.
  • Establishes and maintains effective, cooperative working relationships with professionals, contractors/subcontractors, people living with HIV (PLWH), and other agency representatives.



Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 2 years of health related work experience, including 1 years at a level comparable to a Public Health Specialist; OR an accredited Master's degree and 1 year of health related work experience at a level comparable to a Public Health Specialist; OR an accredited Master's degree in Public Health; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must pass a preemployment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
