  • Provide leadership and support for the State Workforce Development Board (SWDB) to advance strategies and actions to strengthen Missouri’s workforce system.
  • Work collaboratively with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners to develop and execute Missouri’s WIOA Combined State Plan.
  • Develop Missouri’s WIOA Annual Report and the SWDB’s Annual Report.
  • Provide oversight for the SWDB’s strategic initiatives and action items.
  • Define, develop, and lead projects that support and achieve the SWDB’s strategic initiatives and action items.
  • Participate in policy and strategy development to advance the Missouri’s workforce system.
  • Lead OWD’s performance initiatives, including DHEWD and OWD placemat initiatives.
  • Oversee WIOA program evaluation process.
  • Communicate research/data needs to support workforce initiatives.
  • Work effectively with WIOA core and related program agency partners, State Workforce Board Members, and other workforce system stakeholders.
  • Organize SWDB quarterly meetings, including agenda, minutes, and ad hoc requests from the Board.
  • Organize and support SWDB committee meetings, as needed.
  • Convey information in a clear, concise, and understandable format targeted to the customer group utilizing strong communication skills.
  • Prepare and support OWD’s budget requests.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.


Beneficial education and/or work-related experience includes technical or professional experience in business, public administration, workforce development, strategic planning, or closely related areas, including military service.
