The park's infinite vistas and internationally-renowned dark skies along the Rio Grande in the West Texas Chihuahuan Desert are unparalleled. Amenities are limited and cell signal is not reliable. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs complex (journey-level) building maintenance and construction work and is responsible for the overall maintenance of the trail system as well as the park grounds and facilities including vehicles and equipment for Barton Warnock State Park. Provides visitor services, interpretive/guide programs, tours, revenue collection and public relations. Performs all phases of maintenance to include: campground maintenance and trash collection, minor repairs of boat ramps, roads, campsites, facility and grounds repairs, equipment, fences, water lines, mowing, plumbing, electrical, and daily preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspecting) of restroom and other visitor-facing facilities. Respond to requests for information from outside agencies such as the military, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies across the nation; ensures submittal of required release forms; searches local/state databases for arrests involving applicants; attests to the validity of information provided in background check reports. 7. Notarize forms and documents as required. 8. Receives, processes, and tracks open records requests. 9. Acts on behalf of the Police Records Supervisor as required. 10.
