Duties include, but are not limited to, daily maintenance/operation/oversight of all the departmental NMR spectrometers; training of students, faculty, staff, and other NMR users to use these NMR instruments; assisting and running NMR samples for research groups, and external NMR users and provide technical support for NMR experiments and data interpretation; managing laboratory class instructions that involves NMR characterizations, including scheduling the NMR time, providing technical support, and supervising the operation and data processing during the class time and after-class support; supporting student research and faculty research activities; scheduling and monitoring the use of NMR instrument time by research personnel and laboratory classes; creating and monitoring accounts of NMR users and generating billing statements based on the departmental policy; assessing and monitoring the cryogens and gases needed for maintaining the NMR superconducting magnets and NMR experiments; ordering and ensuring the timely delivery of cryogens and gasses; managing and coordinating with other department technicians to fill the NMR magnets with cryogens when needed; managing and coordinating with other technicians to troubleshoot, repair, arrange service required for the NMR spectrometers; contacting NMR vendors for troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of the NMR instruments when needed; and keeping abreast of the instrumental and methodological developments in the NMR field and participating in grant writing for maintaining our state-of-the-art magnetic resonance facilities. Required Qualifications & Experience : A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university. Or instructional support experience and college-level course work involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment in a discipline related to NMR spectroscopy. Or acceptable combinations of instructional support experience and applicable college-level course work include: the equivalent of four years of instructional support experience; the equivalent of three years of instructional support experience and two years of college with 16 semester units in relevant course work; and the equivalent of two years of instructional support experience with four years of relevant course work. The Performing Arts Technician III provides technical/specialist support for technical production, stage rigging, and scenery automation for the Department of Theatre and Dance productions. Oversees graduate students, student assistants, and student crew members who work in the areas of scenery construction, stage rigging, and scenery automation for the Department of Theatre and Dance productions. Special skills needed in the areas of advanced scenic carpentry metal scenery fabrication, stage rigging and scenery automation. In collaboration with other Performing Arts Technicians, performs periodic maintenance, inventories maintenance, and organization of scenic lab equipment, stage machinery, stage rigging equipment, scenery automation equipment and supplies in all performance, storage, work, and classroom spaces. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in theatre, dance, music, or business with a minimum of two years of experience working for a theater, repertory or stock company engage in applicable production specialty such as costume construction, lighting production, or sound and audio production. Advanced knowledge of design theory and principles with the ability to translate design specifications, blueprints or drawings into costume, scene, lighting or sound production and effects. Ability to independently manage production support projects and productions by braking segments into working units that coincide with production needs. Ability to work with more difficult materials and equipment, including the ability to select and use the most appropriate materials to meet production needs. DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool - Physical Therapy POSITION DETAILS: Sacramento State’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a three-year program dedicated to graduating professional, evidence-informed physical therapists who have the knowledge and skills to provide patient care in any practice environment. The program’s curriculum is designed to provide a foundation in the science and art of physical therapy, one that engages students in clinical reasoning through problem-solving within the context of patient cases, both actual and simulated. In addition, students complete 36 weeks of full-time internships at three locations to learn by doing in their respective practice settings. Areas may include: orthopedics, neurorehabilitation, therapeutic measurements and techniques, clinical agents, evidence informed practice, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, simulation lab, acute care, physical therapist as educator, and psychosocial issues in PT. In general, duties include teaching lecture and lab classes in PT evaluation and treatment, usually team-teaching with a full-time faculty member. DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool - Physical Therapy POSITION DETAILS: Sacramento State’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a three-year program dedicated to graduating professional, evidence-informed physical therapists who have the knowledge and skills to provide patient care in any practice environment. The program’s curriculum is designed to provide a foundation in the science and art of physical therapy, one that engages students in clinical reasoning through problem-solving within the context of patient cases, both actual and simulated. In addition, students complete 36 weeks of full-time internships at three locations to learn by doing in their respective practice settings. Areas may include: orthopedics, neurorehabilitation, therapeutic measurements and techniques, clinical agents, evidence informed practice, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, simulation lab, acute care, physical therapist as educator, and psychosocial issues in PT. In general, duties include teaching lecture and lab classes in PT evaluation and treatment, usually team-teaching with a full-time faculty member. Duties of a part-time lecturer include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
