What you’ll do: - Assists the Commission and Department by drafting contracts, administrative rules, legislation, and legal memos/opinions.
- Provides legal advice and counsel to the Commission and MoDOT staff on various legal issues.
- Serves as a member of Chief Counsel's Office central office teams and task forces.
- Represents the Commission in litigation regarding condemnation/inverse condemnation, tort liability, construction contracts, and human resources matters.
- Accountable for meeting Chief Counsel's Office goals and performance measures.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - J.D. Degree
- Admission to the Missouri Bar
Special Working Conditions: - Maintains attorney-client privilege.
- Requires occasional travel, including statewide overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in administrative law and civil litigation.
- Prior government service.
- Excellent research and writing skills are preferred.
