Job Location: This position will be located in the Sikeston Regional Office at 471 Siemers Dr. Suite D Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 within the IU's East Region. Hybrid/remote work options may be available after completion of a successful onboarding process and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct abuse/neglect investigations by initiating investigations in compliance with Department Operating Regulations; reviewing provider records and documentation; interviewing staff, individuals served by the department, and other persons involved in the alleged incident; and drafting investigative reports based on findings.
  • Travel within the immediate catchment area of eastern Missouri and as needed to assist the central and western regions across the state. This may include some overnight travel.
  • Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, but onsite and travel hours can vary depending on the availability of individuals to be interviewed and other factors.
  • This is an intermediate, non-commissioned investigator position with opportunity for advancement.


Preferred Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Four to five years of investigative experience in the mental health field or related fields.
