What You'll Be Doing Join #TeamWake as a Project Coordinator in Maternal and Child Health! Maternal and Child Health is one of the largest sections within public health. As a project coordinator, this person will coordinator our Doula Support Program. They will serve in the role of overseeing doula trainings and certifications, coordinating with community doulas and accepting referrals for internal and external partners. As a part of the Improving Community Outcomes for Maternal and Child Health (ICO4MCH) grant. This person will also be responsible for engaging in community outreach, working along community health workers and assisting the Triple P Project Coordinator. What you will be doing to help the community; Identify data collection needs and collect appropriate data and use it to prioritize doula support within the county Evaluate projects and programs by soliciting continuous feedback to inform ongoing development Develop annual work/action plan to guide grant activities in compliance with grant requirements Identify evidence-based and emerging interventions to decrease maternal and infant mortality Identify opportunities for policy, systems, and environmental change to support decreasing maternal and infant mortality Identify, build, and maintain relationships with relevant partners, including community stake holders, non-profits, local and state groups and local families. Facilitate collaboration with and between partners to support implementation of evidence-based and emerging interventions Coordinate and manage budget by tracking and spending funds in compliance with grant requirements, including submitting regular invoices to funder Participate in required meetings and trainings About Our Team Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) is the consolidation of programs and services that include social services, public health, job search assistance, child support, and transportation.
