Job Description

This position is located at 200 Madison Street, Jefferson City, MO 65102

The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned electric, natural gas, steam, water and sewer utilities in Missouri. We ensure that Missourians receive safe and reliable utility services at just, reasonable and affordable rates. The Information Services Department is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and data of the Commission, along with making sure that all staff have access to the technology resources they need to do their job effectively and efficiently.

  • Support the agency’s computer systems in an active directory network environment.
  • Manage and complete Helpdesk requests.
  • Research, test and troubleshoot network computer workstations.
  • Perform computer hard-drive imaging and image management.
  • Prepare information systems and procedures documentation.
  • Provide management reports.
  • Perform general systems analysis and serve a consulting role giving recommendations for the use of technology to assist the agency and its stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel within the state of Missouri.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of information technology support experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven customer support experience;
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities;
  • Experience supporting network printers;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Exposure to Microsoft server software including Active Directory.
