Job Description

SECURITY OFFICER

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center's South Campus has an immediate opening for a Security Officer.

Job Duties:

This is entry-level work providing for the security and protection of public property and equipment against loss or damage from theft, fire, vandalism, or other causes, and maintaining order and proper behavior of individuals and groups. Duties include conducting regular rounds through the buildings and grounds, taking necessary action to ensure proper conduct is observed and reporting questionable conduct of employees, residents, or the public. A successful security officer will communicate well, prepare clear reports, and exercise good judgment.

Eligibility:

Eligible candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent AND One or more years of experience as a Security Guard with the State of Missouri, or experience in military, civilian security, law enforcement, or experience within an intermediate/maximum security mental health facility performing security functions. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required for this position.
