The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) team in support of DOC is looking for a team member to oversee the Information Services Unit (ISU) offender development shop. This unique position will serve as the steward for the application development unit located at the Jefferson City Correctional Center (JCCC). You will work with the offender development team, the OA/ITSD development team, and the Department of Corrections staff.

This crucial role serves as a liaison between the developers and the State team while supporting both teams, ensuring that communication is clear, resource needs are met, and the unit is in compliance with DOC policy.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Corrections (DOC).

  • Facilitate email communication to and from offenders between the state and offender network.
  • Coordinate video/conference calls between offenders and the state App Dev team.
  • Track and request supplies needed for the effective functioning of the shop.
  • Review and process equipment requests.
  • Review and approve offender timesheets.
  • Communication, time management, and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively report status of projects.
  • Ability to follow up on task assignments and track progress (for self and team).
  • Proficiency in office productivity software such as Word and Excel.
  • Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Knowledge of the core programming language used in the assigned area. Knowledge of computer logic statements and their applications. Ability to learn and apply concepts. Ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to provide logical and innovative ideas, and think critically to resolve issues. Ability to communicate with staff, management, and agency personnel.
