This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).

- Administer, manage, and monitor SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Design and implement SSIS packages for data integration, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
- Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and databases, recommending and implementing effective solutions to optimize performance.
- Manage and administer SSRS server environments.
- Oversee backup, recovery, and replication processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Lead the troubleshooting efforts for complex database issues, working closely with other IT teams.
- Maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior database administrators and share best practices.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, particularly with SSIS and performance tuning.
- Solid experience in database administration, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Advanced knowledge of database security practices and protocols.
- Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure seamless functionality across systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
