Your maximum benefit amount is 52 times your weekly benefit amount or the total wages subject to SDI tax paid in your base period, whichever is less. Employees pay a mandatory contribution, through payroll deductions, for coverage under the SDI program. The contribution rate for 2023 is 0.9 percent of earnings. The SDI taxable wage limit is $153,164, with a maximum withholding of $1,378.48 per employee for calendar year 2023.
