Salary: $2,746 - $2,927 semi-monthly *Salary may be commensurate of education and/or experience
Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Environmental Remediation Program, and will be located at 1730 E. Elm St., Jefferson City, MO.

The Advanced Cleanup Unit in the Underground Storage Tank Section is seeking a motivated Sr. Professional/Professional Engineer who can play a pivotal role. You'll work with a diverse group of team members and stakeholders pertaining to environmental investigations, modeling, and cleanup of underground storage tank projects.
What you'll do: - Independence in the interpretation of data concerning the extent of petroleum releases in the subsurface (soils, groundwater and bedrock and application of engineering knowledge and standards.
- Implement Department regulations, policies, and guidance in a consistent manner and communicate both in writing and verbally with a variety of parties.
- Review design documents and work plans of moderate complexity from external firms and review draft documents internally prepared by Assistant/Associate Engineers for accuracy and consistency and provide a recommendation to their supervisor.
- Provide technical guidance to Assistant/Associate Engineers.
Minimum Qualifications - Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri
- Ability to travel/valid driver's license.
- Good oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications - Ability to effectively prioritize work assignments and manage multiple tasks with varying timelines.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical engineering information and regulatory language, analyze issues, and provide solutions.
- Ability to apply broad application of engineering knowledge, relevant policies, and engineering standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a comfort in dealing with people.
