Job Position Number : 7020202 Salary : $1,260.38 (semi-monthly) Job Location/Shift: This position will be located at Crowder State Park near Trenton MO. Shift is Tuesday through Saturday with ½ hour lunch break O ff-season hours (during November through March) is 9:3 0 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. On-season hours (during April through October) is 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Why you'll love this position : We are looking for people to join our team who love serving others while working within Missouri's finest example of natural and cultural resources at Crowder State Park! What you'll do: Maintenance Team Member responsible to assist in maintaining the 1,912 acre Crowder State Park. Job is critical for maintaining the campground, special use area, over 17 miles of trails, an equestrian area, a cemetery, a boat ramp, playgrounds, day use areas, 3 shelter houses, a group camp that houses 120 people and sanitizing two modern restrooms and 7 vault toilets around the facility to protect the public. The park also has two structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Builds simple structures such as small picnic shelters, picnic tables, and/or vault latrines; performs semi-skilled electrical and plumbing work; performs minor repairs to machinery and internal combustion engines; paints structures and other items. Serves as a lead worker in the routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds and facilities; performs routine maintenance with some independent responsibility involving minor maintenance and repair in small parks or historic sites. Performs semi-skilled tasks under the direction of a skilled worker in the construction and major renovation of restrooms, facility's residences, dining halls, picnic shelters, and other facility structures. Monitors and maintains complex water or wastewater systems. Inspects facility's structures and equipment for safety and risk factors. Assists with natural resource management including; prescribed burns, invasive species control, and managed deer hunts. Greets the public and provides information regarding park rules, regulations, and available resources. May register campers, rent shelters, rent watercraft and sell items using computerized reservation system, receive and balance fees collected, and assist with preparation of bank deposits. Receives general administrative direction regarding work priorities; work is reviewed upon completion. Performs other related work as assigned. Must be able to perform strenuous physical work, out of doors, year-round on rugged terrain. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required. All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. (Education may be substituted for experience.) Preferred Qualifications and Experience/Special Job Requirements Knowledge in a variety of trade areas including: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. Skill and ability to operate tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment. Ability to provide and follow directions. Ability to interpret and apply technical manual. Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license. Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts. Available to participate in meetings, workshops and seminars requiring overnight stays Must be able to walk long distances on uneven terrain in all kinds of weather and environmental conditions and have the ability to lift 25 pounds This position may be required to obtain and maintain appropriate commercial operator's license, water/wastewater certifications, and/or other required licenses/certification. If required and if you do not currently possess this license/certification, you will be given six months to obtain necessary license/certification.
