Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. during training, then placed on shift according to bid.

Responsibilities
A Bus Operator Trainee:
- Attends classroom and on-the-road training.
- Learns how to maintain and operate the multi-passenger buses used in the safe and efficient transportation of passengers between the airport terminal and parking lots.
- Obtains all customer service training critical to the Bus Operations Division.
Once the Bus Operator Trainee receives their CDL, certifications, required experience, and/or any additional criteria, they may be promoted into a Bus Operator position after completing the initial 6-month probationary period.
Qualifications
REQUIRES high school graduation or equivalent and a valid state issued drivers license. Must obtain a CDL permit, airbrake and passenger endorsements within 5 days of completion of permit class. Must pass CDL certification within (4) months of employment. Must successfully complete a 10-year FAA background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and/or post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
