Position: CSUN’s University Library is seeking a professionally engaged, innovative, and collaborative librarian and archivist to provide leadership, vision, and direction in the ongoing growth and development of CSUN’s University Archives program. The successful candidate will play a central role in building and stewarding collections documenting the history and transactions of California State University Northridge, and will serve as the Library’s expert in the history of the University. They will provide research assistance and instruction to internal and external constituents in this area, and will promote the visibility and use of the University Archives through teaching, exhibits, programming, and other means. Additionally, the University Archivist will actively work to document the voices and experiences of members of our University community, especially those who have been historically underrepresented, including assisting in collection development and donor relations. As part of their duties, the successful candidate will work to identify records of enduring historical value that should be transferred to the University Archives, including select faculty papers and records of student organizations and other auxiliary units.
