Recurrent Faculty Member Lubbock 37527BR Position Description Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. Major/Essential Functions Maintain primary missions of patient care and education/training. Be licensed psychologists in state of Texas. Be clinical faculty at TTUHSC. Carry liability insurance. Communicate agreement with TTU Psychological Sciences leadership and gain approval for outside employment. Be available for the training year, which is from July 1 to June 30. Commit to 6-10 hours per week; this includes patient care, supervision, documentation review, billing, etc. Encouraged to be involved in didactic presentations on Tuesday afternoons, though not required. Be on site during patient care unless other arrangements are approved. Utilize live and/or video supervision. Hold weekly supervision with trainees. At least 30 minutes of scheduled supervision is required weekly for each trainee. Participate in quarterly formal evaluation of trainees, as well as yearly review. Accept patients based existing referral processes, though input for inclusion/exclusion criteria will be sought out. Review/edit/attest/co-sign documentation within 3 business days within EPIC (the electronic medical record). Follow TTUHSC Clinic Operations. Clinics are closed in accordance with TTUHSC scheduled holidays. Also, severe weather closure is determined by TTUHSC announcements, instead of TTU. Request off for planned leave 30 days in advance in order not to interrupt patient care. When out, there are options to block clinic (if no patients scheduled) or arrange coverage from another psychologist. When unexpected leave is needed, alert the Training Director as soon as possible.
