Staff Psychotherapist (generalist) Position Description : Cal Poly Humboldt Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is collecting applications for our applicant pool for a Staff Psychotherapist or Psychologist with interest and competence in providing psychotherapy and outreach services to our general student population. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Labor and Employee Relations , the Assistant Director, Systemwide Labor Relations will: -Serve as the CSU advocate at statutory meet and confer sessions and contract grievance meetings. -Arbitrate employee grievances arising from collective bargaining agreements. Qualifications This position requires: -Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Business, Law or other related field, or equivalent experience. -Demonstrated three to five years experience resolving union grievances, conducting arbitration hearings or equivalent dispute resolution, and employee/labor relations or general human resources experience, preferably in a unionized environment. -Possession, or ability to obtain, and maintenance of a valid California driver’s license. -Demonstrated experience in maintaining an open and approachable manner, easily build rapport with other parties and ability to work effectively as part of a team. -Demonstrated experience in working with numerous stakeholders who hold varying interests and perspectives. -Ability to maintain focus and relationships within a high volume work environment, which often experiences unexpected shifts in priorities. -Ability to travel, sometimes overnight, within California. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to research questions/issues of public employment policy and law. The incumbent directly and indirectly provides patient care by using independent decision-making, judgment, and initiative to perform general and specialized nursing functions, and to plan, organize, direct, and oversee the work of others. Position Information Patient Care - Perform RN patient care and triage per SHS protocols as necessary within the clinic As a generalist, determine eligibility of students with disabilities across the disability spectrum by evaluatingdocumentation. Use independent decision-making judgment and initiative with regard to diagnosis and treatment of patients. Triage patients based on a nursing diagnosis through observation of the patient's physical condition and interpretation of information obtained through the patient interview and other sources. Formulate patient care plans that provide for direct and indirect nursing care.
